PROJECT SOLUTION

One drawing. A clear path to production.

Structure the transition from a first component to an approved repeatable specification.

Process Cnc — concept illustration

Create a useful technical handover

A clear handover contains the component definition and the decisions that support it. Keep the approved drawings, material and finish specification, inspection requirements and order scope together.

Review points

  • What must the component do in its assembly?
  • Which dimensions or surfaces are critical?
  • What will a sample approval demonstrate?
  • How will any later change be reviewed?

Agree the review points with the project stakeholders before progressing to the next stage.

PROJECT WORKFLOW

From drawing to delivery

  1. 01

    Drawing review

Share the current drawing revision, intended use and critical requirements.

  2. 02

    Process planning

Review material, manufacturing route, finishing and inspection needs.

  3. 03

    Sample approval

Agree acceptance criteria and review initial parts before a production decision.

  4. 04

    Production & inspection

Release the approved specification and define the inspection and delivery plan.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Before you send a drawing

What information should I include in a quotation request?

Send the current drawing or model, material and finish, required quantity, critical dimensions and your target delivery date. If a detail is still open, identify it so it can be discussed.

Can I start with a prototype?

Describe the purpose of the prototype and the expected production quantity. Sample scope, tooling, inspection and any later production route should be agreed before an order.

What should I prepare before requesting a quotation?

Share a drawing, sample photographs or a BOM, together with materials, quantities and delivery destination. Mark critical dimensions and describe the application. If some details are undecided, list them explicitly so they can be reviewed rather than assumed.

How are custom requirements confirmed before production?

Use a current drawing or written specification to record geometry, material, finish and inspection requirements. Any suggested changes should be reviewed and approved before ordering. Confirm whether samples or first-article checks are needed for the project.
